Over the past 41 years, Geraldo Dias da Silva, Production Supervisor at the Jundiaí Unit, has been a witness to the growth of Mercurio Conveyor Belt as he helped to consolidate the company as one of the most important conveyor belt manufacturers in the world.
Learn a little more about his beautiful career in the company.
What is your story at Mercurio Conveyor belt?
I started in 1980 as a Production Assistant working with doing splices in the field and installing conveyor belts on customer equipment. I also had the opportunity to work in all areas of the company within production to meet strong demands. At that time, the employee had to be multi-functional due to the different types of conveyor belts manufactured. After that I took on a leadership role as a Production Supervisor.
What does Mercurio represent for you?
Mercurio represents a lot in my professional and personal journey. I only have good things to say about these 41 years; I am very happy to be part of this company.
What is your favorite part about working at Mercurio?
I admire very much the people who have had a part in this company’s history.
I really enjoy helping those employees in my area and in other areas of the company. For me it makes me very happy to see a smile on their face. And also, when I have questions, other people are happy to help and give me the support I need. That is my favorite part of working at Mercurio.
Even though I have worked here so long, it seems that I started yesterday!
How do you see Mercurio in the coming years?
I hope it will continue to lead the market in making quality conveyor belts, investing in new technologies, and always growing so that more people can work and be a part of this wonderful group.
